Photographing Stage Productions & Graduations
In every newsletter we will include some photography tips, to help ensure you get the best results from your camera. This month we have tips for those school productions - and if you still have questions email me joanne@buckleyphotos.co.nz and ask about our camera classes.

Photographing school stage productions can be a hassle, distance, movement and lighting can play havoc with your pictures. Here are a few tips that may help you along:

• Turn off the flash and set ISO to the highest setting.
• If indoors, set white balance to tungsten to avoid red/orange lines.
• If your camera has image stabilization, make sure it is on.
• Use a tripod/monopod if at all possible as it's very hard to hold your camera steady long enough to ensure sharp photos.
• Pan the camera along with any action happening on stage.
• Experiment with your exposure compensation settings +/- to average out the brightly lit stage with the dark background.
• Don't forget to set all your settings back to normal once you have finished
